ABOUT FILMSCAPE

Filmscape LA is a Visual Development Studio that specializes in translating written storytelling into visual forms. We pair filmmakers with visual artists to provide early-stage imagery and art direction to help directors and productions take the first steps towards interpreting their scripts and stories visually. Our goal is to engage the creative process early and make the visual information in the early stages of a project as available, inspiring, and helpful to the overall movie making process as possible. We pride ourselves in doing work that is story-driven, full of information, and presented in an easy-to-share format. 

The work we do is informed by experience in Los-Angeles-based development and UK-based Physical Production with high production value, including the Bond, Star Wars, and Harry Potter Franchises. We have had the privilege of working for some of the movie industry’s top creative talent including: Disney Studios, Marc Forster, Seth Rogan & Evan Goldberg at Point Grey Pictures, two-time Oscar-winning director Sharmeen Obeid-Chinoy, Lionsgate, LUCASFILM, the AMPAS Museum, director Michael Gracey, and Joe Roth & Jeff Kirschenbaum’s R/K Films.

We are a transatlantic team, based in Los Angeles and the UK. Our roots in traditional and franchise filmmaking grounds us in truth, authenticity and creative structure. We embrace the future of digital and are passionate about integrating traditional filmmaking practices into digital as productions become increasingly virtual.
